Reflection of Beauty
Sequence of imagery portraying a young girl, under the pressure of society's ideal look. Having mounted make-up and false extensions over her natural appearance, becomes frustrated as she can't recognise her true self. Through the series of artworks, she removes her drawn on face, false eyelashes, hair extensions and bra fillers. From the tension that builds, distorting her expression and self confidence, she finally becomes content and modest at her natural beauty. Along the sequence there is a little monkey, helping her to find herself.
